WHO WE ARE
Outer Banks Mommy & Me is an organized group of moms* dedicated to the development of young children, birth through age five. Founded in 2001 by a group of local moms, we engage in activities that encourage and support the educational and social development of young children. We also provide social interaction for new moms, promote community involvement, and participate in fundraising activities to assist local families and organizations. Come play and grow with us!
We have grown over the years and now have over 200 active members with more "due" to arrive every season! We are happy to be building a foundation for a lifetime of learning and fun.
*grandmas and full-time nannies are accepted on case by case basis.
WHAT WE DO

Provide a community for parents and caregivers locally

Foster a love of learning through educationally minded playdates

Help to develop social skills for young children

organize meal trains for new mothers or families in need

Share local events and recommendations

Community outreach programs including play dates with the elderly and beach clean-ups

Small Business Saturday and Sunday Swap
